Nicoli Pasticceria Review

Entrance of Nicoli Pasticceria

I’ve been to Nicoli Pasticceria a few times now and have tried several items from their menu – broccoli soup, chicken soup, peri peri chicken pizza, chicken penne pasta, mocha frappe, and classic iced tea. Overall, I liked everything except for the iced tea, which didn’t really stand out.

Both the broccoli and chicken soups were creamy and tasty, exactly what you’d want from a good soup. The pizza was really good though – thin crust done well and probably the most tasty item I had. I went with the peri peri chicken pizza, which cost ₹500 before tax. The chicken penne pasta was good, and the mocha frappe hit the spot.

Price-wise, it’s a bit expensive for the quantity you get, but the taste makes up for it. You’re paying for quality here, and it shows in the food.

Indoor seating is somewhat limited, but the outdoor area is pretty good. I actually prefer the outdoor ambience to the indoor vibe – there’s something nice about sitting under the trees with the lights around. I visited during the afternoon, but I think this place would be even better in the evening when you can enjoy the outdoor setting properly and watch them bake pizzas in the open.

Service was good and orders didn’t take too long, which is always appreciated. The restroom is located at the back of the cafe and was okay – usable, nothing special.

This seems like a spot that works for different types of visits. I could see couples coming here for dates, but it’s also family-friendly if you want to bring kids along. During my afternoon visit, I noticed it’s a popular Instagram spot – saw a few groups taking photos outside, which makes sense given the outdoor setup.

One thing I really liked about visiting in the afternoon is that it wasn’t crowded at all. If you’re looking for some quiet time alone or want to have a peaceful conversation with someone, going during the noon hours is perfect. The location itself is somewhat secluded, so it doesn’t get the foot traffic that busier areas might have.

I’m definitely planning to go back and try more dishes from their menu. It’s on the pricier side, but the taste justifies the cost in my opinion. Next time I’ll probably aim for an evening visit to get the full outdoor experience.
